"Biographies are but the clothes and buttons of the man. The biography of the man himself cannot be written."
- Mark Twain
MICHAEL SILBERBLATT, a proud San Diegan, is an American actor who recently graduated college from Northwestern University where he studied theatre, film, and business. Michael was honored at the White House by U.S. President Barack Obama as the singular United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts for Spoken Theatre in 2010. He served as an Executive Advisor for the U.S. Department of Education's Presidential Scholars Program for three years, he regularly works as an Actor/Ambassador for the National YoungArts Foundation, and he has worked as an assistant teaching artist at the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse.
Apart from acting, Michael enjoys teaching, hiking, snowboarding, circus arts (ask him to do some crazy contortionist moves - he will), watching Game of Thrones, and engaging in passionate conversations about Lord of the Rings, Mass Effect, or why interactive entertainment (i.e. video games) will become leading mediums for visual art and dynamic story-telling.
Fun Fact: The name "Silberblatt" means "silver leaf" in German (hence the website logo). Ironically however, Michael has little German ancestry. Oh well.
Most Random Skill: Michael can speak in three separate voices... AT THE SAME TIME! Sounds impossible, right? Think again. It's one of the weirdest abilities you might come across.
